Sculpture process for "Dancing Forever" by Carol Shireena Sakai

The sculpture starts
out with the armature or
metal skeleton. Then
the clay is put on and
the shape and dimension
of the sculpture can be seen.
The bride figure
starts out with thick
aluminum wire stapled into
a crevice drilled in the base.
Then a steel epoxide is applied
to keep it stable.
An aluminum mesh is
shaped into the approximate
final form. Even at
this stage the shape of
the sculpture is visible
