Sculpture process for "Dancing Forever" by Carol Shireena Sakai

(please see comments under each image)

The face for the
bride is roughed in.
At this point it, the FACE is
put in only for approximate
shape and dimension
and relationship to the
sculpture as a whole.
Upon roughing in
hands, it becomes apparent
that the connection between
the two wires of the arms
are unstable - this is
dangerous as it could
break during shipment
(shipper tend to be gorillas.
Therefore, each sculpture is boxed
in TWO boxes, to cushion the
sculpture twice - this insure
that the sculpture won't break
in shipment)
A steel epoxide is
applied to the joints
of the two hands.

EACH hand of the sculpture
(4 hands total) must
be reinforced in
this way.
