"Beautiful Swimmers"

Christina and David are swimming athletes.They wanted to be dressed in their swim suits with groom in top hat and bride with a veil as they take the plunge. This cake topper was an emergency "Rush" order completed in 4 days using only 1 reference photo (the one seen above).

Unfortunately, the bridesmaid commissioned someone on the Web who turned out to be too inexperienced to follow through -  leaving only 1 week to find someone else to sculpt the cake topper!

In this cake topper - the back part of the board was a base for the cake on a platform (the swimmers are on the diving board) - below was a cake decorated like a swimming pool (see "Process" section for the sketch they submitted)
